The Duchess Finally Launches: Canal Dining Cruises in Kings Bromley, Staffordshire.

After months of planning, preparation and bringing The Duchess to life, July marked a very special milestone for us – our very first cruises from Kings Bromley Marina.

Our soft launch was a chance to finally welcome guests aboard and see The Duchess doing exactly what she was created for: bringing people together to enjoy good food, drinks and a leisurely cruise along the canal.

A Day to Celebrate

Seeing our first guests gathered outside The Duchess made everything suddenly feel very real. After all the work that had gone into getting to this point, it was finally time to welcome everyone aboard and begin our first cruise.

There was definitely a sense of celebration as the glasses were poured and we set off from Kings Bromley Marina. For me, it was also the first opportunity to experience The Duchess from the other side – not preparing, planning or getting her ready, but actually hosting guests and watching them enjoy what we had created.

The atmosphere on board was exactly what I had hoped for — relaxed, friendly and full of laughter. Seeing everyone raising a glass and enjoying The Duchess for the first time made all the months of planning and hard work feel completely worthwhile.

A special moment

One of the most special moments of the day was being presented with flowers by my Dad. Having family and friends there to celebrate the launch made an already memorable day even more meaningful.

The First Dining Cruise

The soft launch also gave us the chance to serve our very first guests on board. Afternoon tea was prepared and served as we cruised along the Trent & Mersey Canal, through the Staffordshire countryside.

After spending so long imagining what dining aboard The Duchess would actually feel like, seeing guests sitting around the tables, chatting, laughing and enjoying themselves was a wonderful moment.

A New Chapter for Canal Cruises Staffordshire

Our soft launch was everything we hoped it would be – a chance to bring The Duchess to life, welcome our first guests aboard and finally see people enjoying the experience we had spent so long creating.

It was a very special beginning, but only the beginning. The Duchess now welcomes guests aboard for Afternoon Tea, Brunch and Cocktails & Canapés cruises, as well as private celebrations and special occasions, all departing from Kings Bromley Marina.
